Madawaska Valley Hospice Palliative Care (MVHPC) operates a used medical assistance equipment service.  Many area people have donated a variety of items that they no longer need to MVHPC.

There is no charge for this service. This equipement is loaned for 3-6 months only.  If you need this equiptment long term, we recommend purchasing your own equiptment.

The equipment is cleaned, stored, and monitored by staff and volunteers at MVHPC.  Equipment includes:

  • transport wheelchairs and folding wheelchairs
  • commode chairs
  • hospital beds (end of life patients only)
  • walkers
  • raised toilet seats
  • crutches and canes
  • bath benches and bath seats

As with any recycled equipment there will be some cost to keeping items in good working order. This program is gratefully supported by community donations.  To be eligible to borrow equiptment you must live with in our catchment area.  We do not offer pick up or delivery of equiptment.
